The main quick qualifiers were:
   •    Age 18–75
   •    Doctor-diagnosed asthma for at least 12 months
   •    Using a daily ICS/LABA controller inhaler for at least 6 months, stable for the last 4 weeks
   •    Ongoing asthma symptoms despite the controller inhaler
   •    At least one flare-up in the past 12 months needing systemic steroids, urgent care/ER treatment, or hospitalization
   •    BMI 18–40 and weight at least 88 lb
   •    Non-smoker / no current vaping or marijuana use
   •    Willing to complete about 22 weeks of study visits, inhaler use, eDiary, and peak-flow entries
Major exclusions included other significant lung disease, current respiratory infection, certain recent medicines/biologics, pregnancy/breastfeeding, major recent cardiovascular events, and certain infections/medical conditions.
